SHS took about 75 Juniors and Seniors to the ECC College Fair on Wednesday! While they were there, students met with more than 35 colleges, trade schools, and university.
It looks like it was a fun and informative day for these Cardinals!!!

Hey, Cardinals! We wanted to share some more information about our Backpack Program! The Backpack Program provides non-perishable food to students in need. It helps meet their basic needs so that students can reach their learning potential! This program serves K-12 students on weekends and holiday breaks, and is confidential and voluntary.
Volunteers and donations are always welcome and needed!!!

Did you know that clay is infinitely recyclable until it’s been fired? SHS Ceramics & Sculpture students could walk you through the steps! They have been developing their hand building skills by creating pinch pots, and each day they take turns with clay-recycling duty. We are wishing we would have documented the pinch pot “flops,” because the growth between attempts has been incredible!
This afternoon, our SMS and SHS Cross Country teams kick of their season with the Vienna Cross Country Meet! The meet will begin at 4PM in Vienna! Good luck, Cardinals!!!

SHS Volleyball started of the year at home Friday night vs. Dixon, winning both JV (2-0) and Varsity (3-1)! Way to go, Cardinals!
We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day for the 2024 Harvest Festival Parade! We loved seeing our Cardinals out there marching, dancing, riding on floats, and standing on the sideline watching the parade go down Main street!

Starting Tuesday, September 10th, students will be collecting items to donate to the Friday Backpack Program. The Backpack Program helps provide supplemental nutrition to students when school is not in session. The class who collects the most donations by Friday, September 20th will win a party! Please contact your child's teacher or Mrs. Miller with any questions.
