
SMS student Tiffany gifted our very own Mookie her first ever Christmas sweater last week! We love how cute and happy Mookie looks modeling her new look! So festive, Mookie!!!




Mr. Wright's Ag 2 classes have been little elves this year making wooden toys to hand out at the Christmas parade this past weekend! They did an amazing job, and we are guessing they made a lot of kids at the parade so happy with these handmade gifts!!!





Last week, these amazing SHS students were honored by their teachers at the 2nd Quarter Cardinal Character Breakfast! We couldn't be more proud of these Cardinals!




Kindergarten hosted a gingerbread house family night last week! We loved watching our students and their families create some pretty incredible gingerbread houses.

These SHS sophomores attended the Sophomore Expo at RTI/C yesterday! They learned about the criminal justice, health sciences academy, and information technology programs, and all the rest of the programs RTI/C has to offer!









SHS took 5 seniors to the Construction Trades Day at Ranken Technical College last week! They learned about jobs in HVAC, construction, architecture & design, precision machining, and electrical. They all got to try their hand at brazing two copper pipes together in the HVAC department!











Attention SHS Class of 2025 students and parents/guardians! FAFSA night is coming up next Tuesday, December 17th at 6:00 PM at the high school! During this second quarter, the Child Development 2 students have taken on the role of an early childhood educator and created their "elementary classroom" door designs. They have studied the four-to-seven year old child and planned their door decor for elementary-aged students. Next semester they will study eight-to-twelve years olds, and their door designs will be created to match that developmental level. Way to go, girls!



Hey, Cardinals! Tonight is the night for SMS and SHS Winter Concerts at Meramec Music Theater! SMS will perform first at 6PM, followed by SHS at 7PM. We can't wait to hear their beautiful music!

All of 2nd grade is “traveling the world” for Christmas!! We are learning about the traditions, decorations, and foods in 10 different countries!! Last week, Mrs. Phenix 2nd graders visited” Mexico and France!
For Mexico, they learned the legend of the Poinsettia flower that is used to decorate lots of trees in Mexico around Christmas! The class made their own paper ones to put in their scrapbooks!
For France, they learned about the Yule Log Cake the people of France eat in remembrance of the Yule Logs they used to burn at Christmas time! Students were allowed to decorate their own “Yule Logs!”
Mrs. Phenix said, "It’s been fun so far and we look forward to the next few places we are going to “travel” to!"











A message from the Central Christmas Tournament:
The 69th Annual Bob Sechrest Jr. Christmas Tournament is quickly approaching.
We are currently selling tickets for the entire week in the main office at Central High School during normal school hours. The costs are $20 for adults and $12 for students and senior citizens 60 years and older. This will get you a ticket that is good for one entry each day of the tournament.
Daily Admission Costs for the tournament will be $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens 60 years and older.
We do offer a live stream that can be found at the following link. It is a pay-per-view with packages ranging from the whole tournament to just one game, those options will be available closer to the tournament. We are planning on having color commentary for the Girls and Boys Semis and for the 3rd place and championship games.
